Patrick Wilson Movies Update (Summer-Fall 2010)

With Patrick Wilson being so well-received in the recent "The A-Team" movie, we wanted fans--new and veteran--to be aware of upcoming releases of other projects:


"The Switch"
This comedy starring Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Patrick Wilson, and Jeff Goldblum hits US screens on August 20, 2010.

"Barry Munday"
Distributor for Patrick Wilson's movie "Barry Munday" will be Magnolia Pictures. It will be a combination of Video on Demand (August 2010) and a "platform" theatrical release (October 2010) .

"Morning Glory"
Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, and Patrick Wilson star is this comedy about an early morning news show.

Patrick Wilson is getting great reviews from critics and fans alike for his wonderful portrayal of the shady and calculating Lynch in "The A-Team". Congrats to him for well-deserved recognition.

Don't forget that Patrick's film "The Switch" is on deck for US release on August 20th. Cast includes Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Jeff Goldblum and Juliette Lewis.

"Morning Glory", "The A-Team" and more!

Morning Glory
Last week we finally got the first trailer for "Morning Glory" which will be released on November 20th. The film stars Rachel McAdam, Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, Patrick Wilson and Jeff Goldblum.

"The A-Team"
The Los Angeles Premiere of "The A-Team" will be this Thursday June 3rd. We are waiting for more details about which cast members will be on hand. The film opens on Friday, June 11th.


Also, there are action figures for "The A-Team" cast including Patrick Wilson's character Colonel Lynch. You can read more about that here: http://www.toywiz.com/ateamlynch.html

"Barry Munday" headed to Scotland
The 2010 Edinburgh International Film Festival will be held June 16-27. The schedule will be announced this week and we'll know when "Barry Munday" will be screened--you lucky UK Patrick fans!


Fingers crossed for domestic and international distributin deals to be struck soon.



Tampa Bay Estuary PBS Documentary
In 2006, Patrick narrated a PBS documentary entitled: "Tampa Bay: Living Legacy". It is a one-hour documentary film about Florida’s largest open-water estuary.


The film now is available on DVD to show to classes, community groups and at special events. To obtain a copy, please contact Nanette O’Hara at (727) 893-2765 or via e-mail at nanette@tbep.org.


Perhaps this is a program that would be useful at your school or for your community group/event.

"The A-Team", "The Ledge", "Insidious" and "Broadway Show League"

The Los Angeles Premiere of "The A-Team" will be held two weeks from today, Thursday, June 3rd. Read more

"The Ledge"
Though the film was filmed just this Spring "The Ledge" is being marketed for distribution at the prestigious 2010 Cannes Film Festival that is being held right now! How cool is that!!??!!

The movie stars Terrance Howard, Charlie Hunnam, Patrick Wilson, and Liv Tyler.


"Insidous" (aka "The Astral", aka "The Further")
Filming is complete and they are hoping to have it edited in time for the Toronto Film Festival

and others. Patrick stars in this with Rose Byrne, and Barbara Hershey. The young actor playing his son in "Insidious" is Ty Simpkins--the same boy who played Patrick's son in "Little Children." Small world!


"Broadway Show League"
Each summer the casts (and associated others) of current Broadway shows form softball teams and play in Central Park on Thursdays. This year, Patrick Wilson is playing on the "Rock of Ages" team with his pal Matthew Stocke. "Rock of Ages" was written and produced by Chris D'Arienzo who was the screenwriter and director of "Barry Munday."

Patrick Wilson gives a "shout-out" to fans, More "Barry Munday" news, "The A-Team" movie, and Fan Questions Answered!


"Barry Munday"

The film continues to be well-received at Film Festivals. SXSW, Sunscreen and now Newport Beach festival goers gave thumbs up to this movie starring Patrick Wilson, Judy Greer, Cybill Shepherd, Malcom McDowell, Jean Smart, Chloe Sevigny, Billy Dee Williams, and Colin Hanks.

Three reps from our Patrick Wilson Fans site attended the Sunscreen Film Festival and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. You can read about their experience HERE and they shot the video clip above of Patrick giving a shout-out to fans! Thank you, Patrick, for being so kind and gracious and to your brother, Paul, who was very nice and helpful as well!

Additionally, three more site members attended the Newport Beach Film Festival and not only enjoyed the film but spent some time talking with the director, Chris D'Arienzo.

Next up for "Barry Munday": The 2010 Edinburgh (Scotland) Film Festival that runs June 16-27. And then, hopefully, a distributor!!! Let's keep 0ur fingers crossed.

"The A-Team"
This film will premiere in Los Angeles on June 3rd. Let's hope publicity starts ramping up with some clips from the film itself...and photos that include Patrick Wilson!!! The new trailer is playing on the official website and we at least get some glimpses of Patrick as Colonel Lynch:

More Film Festivals for "Barry Munday"

Sunscreen Film Festival attendees had the chance to view "Barry Munday" yesterday afternoon. The screening was followed by a question and answer session with Patrick Wilson.


Next up for "Barry Munday" is the Newport Beach (California) Film Festival this Friday, April 23.


Then, At yesterday's Q&A session after the screening of "Barry Munday", Patrick said that the movie will be showing June at the Edinburgh (Scotland) International Film Festival.
The Festival will run June 16-27 (2010). The schedule isn't up yet but we can watch for news at http://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/

Finally, our website reps had a wonderful time at the Sunscreen Film Festival. They were able to chat with Patrick quite a bit and ask him questions on behalf of fans. They will provide more details after they catch their breath (and get some sleep.) Many thanks, Patrick, for being so gracious!
