Karen, our Facebook co-Admin, and website Moderator has once again served as our intrepid field reporter. She spoke with Patrick today at the Broadway Flea Market. He was looking great and having fun at this event that benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.

Barry Munday, Broadway Flea Market, Young Adults, and Movie Geeks United!

Broadway Flea Market
The Annual Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction will be held this Sunday, September 26. Patrick is scheduled to be at the Celebrity Autograph Table from 12:00pm-12:50pm.


There is a $25 donation collected each time you go through the line & each actor is permitted to sign 2 items. You'll have to get there early to get in line.... The photo booth is $10-$40 (no photos permitted in line) The Flea Market poster (a popular way to collect signatures) is $20.

"Young Adults"
According to this LA Times blog, Patrick is negotiating a deal to join the cast of "Young Adults" which will star Charlize Theron! It's from the team that gave us "Juno"--which starred Ellen Page who was in "Hard Candy" with Patrick. Read more HERE!

Patrick Wilson News on "Insidious" and "Barry Munday"

Insidious
The James Wan
-Leigh Whannell horror film was well-received at it's "Midnight Madness" screening at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival on September 14th. It stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Barabara Hershey and Ty Simpkins (who, incidentally, played Patrick's son in "Little Children" a few years ago.)

"Insidious" was immediately picked up by SONY for distribution in the US and several film sites
posted enthusiastic comments:

"Barry Munday"
Magnolia Pictures has announced the "Barry Munday" will be released on DVD and BluRay on December 7, 2010. No "extras" have been announced yet.

The film can be viewed now via cableTV "On Demand" options,
Xbox Live, Playstation, Amazon and Vudu. It is set for (very limited) theater release starting October 1st.

"The Normal Heart", Toronto Film Festival, "Insidious", and "Barry Munday"

"The Normal Heart"
Patrick Wilson has been announced as part of the cast of a one-night-only reading of "The Normal Heart". It will be on Monday, October 18th at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York City.


"Initial casting has been announced for the 25th anniversary staged reading of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart, which will be directed by Joel Grey next month at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

Daryl Roth will produce the reading, which is scheduled for Oct. 18 at the Broadway venue. The reading will raise funds for both the Actors Fund and Friends in Deed.

The cast will be led by Victor Garber, Jason Butler Harner, John Benjamin Hickey, Joe Mantello, Michael Stuhlbarg and Patrick Wilson. Additional casting will be announced shortly."

Toronto International Film Festival
The 2010 Toronto International Film Festival began on Sept 9 and runs until Sept 19. Patrick's film "Insidious", which was shot this past Spring, is one of the "Midnight Madness" selections.

"Morning Glory", "The Phantom of the Opera" and more


"Morning Glory"
We finally
have a still of "Morning Glory" showing Patrick Wilson. Above is a photo of Patrick and Rachel McAdams in character as "Adam Bennett" and "Becky Fuller". Yea!


The cast also includes Dianne Keaton, Harrison Ford and Jeff Goldblum. "Morning Glory" is scheduled to be released in the US on November 20th.


"Barry Munday"
At last! Patrick Wilson Fans can finally see his latest film "Barry Munday". The film also stars Judy Greer, Chloe Sevigny, Malcolm McDowell, Cybill Shepherd, Jean Smart, Billy Dee Williams, and Colin Hanks. Right now it's available on cable TV networks' "On-Demand" channels.

Also, it will begin theatrical release in October. It's a platform release so it will start out small and build.

So far these theaters are set to show "Barry Munday" on the big screen next month:

"The Phantom of the Opera"
The Oxygen television network will air Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera" on Thursday, September 9th at 6:00am (US-Eastern time). A chance for new fans to see Patrick Wilson, Gerard Butler, and Emmy Rossum perform in this film version of the hit stage musical.


Yes, new Patrick Wilson fans, the boy CAN sing. That gorgeous tenor of his earned him two Tony nominations ("The Full Monty" and "Oklahoma!").
