"All My Sons" had it's closing performance yesterday (Sun 1/11/09). The cast was wonderful. John Lithgow is amazing. Dianne Wiest took my breath away (we saw her understudy at performances in November). Katie Holmes really has grown as an stage actress and there were wonderful touches to her performance yesterday. And, Patrick as usual gave a star turn in this role. He is so neat to watch on stage--making it seem so effortless. I love it when an actor really embodies his role. Patrick never drops character and is so earnestly supportive of his scene partners. Just a wonderful production. I was touched by John Lithgow's closing remarks on behalf of the cast. He offered geniune thanks to all of the creative team and the staff of the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. It was a very heartfelt and genuinely classy moment.

And, Patrick, as always was gracious, good-humored and patient with a group of us who had a chance to chat with a him for a few minutes. He never fails to look genuinely happy to see our group there and kindly endures being peppered with a variety of questions.

Thanks, Patrick, for being so good to us! Good luck with your publicity work for "Watchmen" and we look forward to news about your next projects.

Patrick Wilson in "Barry Munday" in 2009

Besides "Watchmen" being a big focus for 2009, Patrick Wilson has another film, "Barry Munday" which awaits release.

In this comedy, Patrick plays "wakes up after being attacked to realize that he's missing his family jewels. To make matters worse, he learns he's facing a paternity lawsuit filed by a woman he can't remember having sex with." (imdb plot description.)

It's based on "on Frank Turner Hollon's book, Life is a Strange Place. It focuses on a womanizer who gets caught canoodling with a teen, and his father beats him so hard for it that Barry ends up in the hospital with injuries that lead to castration. He begins to see that his life is not quite how he'd like it, and just as he realizes he will never be able to have kids of his own, he's named in a paternity suit. "Barry is elated at the second chance at fatherhood. Now if he can just avoid his crazy ex-girlfriend, her rabid dog, a mob of angry gay midgets, and his mother until the baby is born..." (excerpt from Cinematical article)

According to mentions in recent articles, it is in post-production.

If you want to read more about this production visit the thread on our messageboard HERE
and if YOU hear/read anything, please share it there, too!
