"Barry Munday","The Baster", AND "Rooms: A Rock Romance"

Time to update the blogspot again. This time we have news about two of Patrick Wilson's films which we hope to see released this year AND Patrick writing liner notes for a cast album:

"Barry Munday"
No theatrical release date has been set, but we do have news from the Festival Circuit. "Barry Munday" will make it's world premiere at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival. It runs from March 12-20 and we are waiting for the full schedule to be published on-line. The Festival is held in Austin, Texas. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Judy Greer, Chloe Sevigny, Malcom MacDowell, Billy Dee Williams, Jean Smart and Cybil Shepherd. It's based on the book "Life is a Strange Place" by Frank Turner Hollon.

"Barry Munday" also has a facebook prescence. Director Chris D'Arienzo has created a Facebook page for "Barry Munday". They've been adding movie stills to the photo album. You can check out Patrick with facial hair. We're used to seeing him cleanshaven so it's definitely a different look--and it is PERFECT for the character. (We've read the book.)

Check out the Facebook Page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Barry-Munday/289755302250

Chris also established a Twitter account ("BMundo). On it "Barry" will tweet his thoughts. You'll get a good feel for the type of guy he is... http://twitter.com/BMundo

"The Baster"
The production company, Miramax closed its doors a few days ago and parent company, Disney, is now handling the release of this film. It stars Patrick Wilson, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Jeff Goldblum and Juliette Lewis. Release date is still listed at August 20, 2010.

The title is undergoing a change. Focus groups did not like it so Disney will be making it more audience/marketing-friendly. You can read more about the upcoming change HERE.

"Rooms: A Rock Romance"
The newly released original cast recording of "ROOMS a rock romance" includes a special liner note essay written by Patrick. ROOMS is written by Paul Scott Goodman who also wrote "Bright Lights, Big City" - Patrick starred in the Off-Broadway production.

Broadwayworld writes: "(Patrick) brings a unique insight into the artistry of ROOMS' compositions."

Other news...

We are still waiting for annoucements about any new film projects. Patrick is an in-demand guy and we are sure he's considering different offers. Please, oh, please, oh, please--let one of his choices be another limited-run Broadway show. Preferrably a musical. We want a chance to hear that voice in-person!

And, the Sunscreen Film Festival is in April in St. Petersburg, Florida. He attended last year to screen "Passengers" and to teach some acting workshops. We are wondering if he'll be there again. It's his hometown and he is very supportive of film ventures there.

"Morning Glory", Calendar Update, "The A-Team", "Watchmen"

(First official "still" from "Morning Glory")

"Morning Glory"

According to a one-pager (press info) from Paramount Pictures, the release date for "Morning Glory" has been changed from July 30, 2010 to the fourth quarter of the year. That is traditionally the "award contenders" time and could mean the studio thinks it may catch voters' eyes. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Calendar Update
The calendar on our messageboard has been updated with dates for 2010. We have noted, holidays, special events and the release dates for "The A-Team" (Jun 11, 2010) and "The Baster" (Aug 20, 2010). We'll add the new date for "Morning Glory" as soon as it is available. Also, we are still waiting for news about whether "Barry Munday" will have a theatrical release this year--or at least a DVD release. You can check the calendar
HERE.

"The A-Team"
Filming officially wrapped on Dec 20, 2009. Now we are on the look-out for a teaser and then a full trailer. Speculation varies on which film it will be attached to. (Deadline constraints caused it to missed being attached to "Avatar"). We sure hope we get to see few shots of Patrick in it!

And, still very intrigued by this description of his character: "Patrick Wilson (Watchmen) is Lynch, a mysterious CIA operative who is a key player in the Team’s most explosive mission."

Also, on the Twentieth Century Fox Website, under "Coming Soon" you can see the placeholder for the poster for "The A-Team."

And, Happy New Year 2010 to all of Patrick Wilson's fans. We are so thrilled to join with others in supporting this amazing actor (--and wonderful person, too!)

"Morning Glory", "The Baster", "The A-Team" , "Life in Flight" and more

"Morning Glory"
A little more publicity about "Morning Glory" which stars Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton,Rachel McAdams, Patrick Wilson and Jeff Goldblum. Movie is set for release on Jul 30, 2010.

"Synopsis: From director Roger Michell (”Notting Hill,” “Venus”), producer J.J. Abrams (”Felicity,” “Alias,” “Lost,” “Star Trek”), and writer Aline Brosh McKenna (”The Devil Wears Prada,” “27 Dresses”), comes “Morning Glory,” a new romantic comedy set in the hilarious and dysfunctional world of morning television. Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton star along with Patrick Wilson and Jeff Goldblum.

When hard-working TV producer Becky Fuller (McAdams) is fired from a local news program, her career begins to look as bleak as her hapless love life. Stumbling into a job at “Daybreak” (the last-place national morning news show), Becky decides to revitalize the show by bringing on legendary TV anchor Mike Pomeroy (Ford). Unfortunately, Pomeroy refuses to cover morning show staples like celebrity gossip, weather, fashion and crafts – let alone work with his new co-host, Colleen Peck (Keaton), a former beauty queen and longtime morning show personality who is more than happy covering morning “news.” As Mike and Colleen clash, first behind the scenes and then on the air, Becky’s blossoming love affair with fellow producer, Adam Bennett (Wilson) begins to unravel – and soon Becky is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself."

"The A-Team"

This article talks about action figures planned for "The A-Team" and also gives a different spin on Patrick's character, Colonel Lynch:

Another write-up about "The A-Team". This one has an interesting description of Patrick's character, Colonel Lynch:

The A-Team follows the exciting and daring exploits of Hannibal Smith and his colorful team of former Special Forces soldiers who were set up for a crime they did not commit. Going “rogue,” they utilize their unique talents – and eccentricities – to try and clear their names and find the true culprit. The A-Team hits everywhere June 11, 2010.

Liam Neeson, whose many credits include the Oscar-winning Schindler’s List and the recent box office hit Taken portrays Hannibal Smith, a master planner of inventive missions requiring split-second timing, unusual skills and a team of incredibly proficient and eccentric soldiers; Bradley Cooper, who shot to movie superstardom in the smash comedy The Hangover, is Templeton “Face” Peck, who can procure anything for the Team’s unorthodox and daring activities; Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, a professional mixed martial artist and a top rated UFC light heavyweight, is B.A. Baracas, the Team’s driver and muscle; and Sharlto Copley, who stars in the surprise summer hit District 9, is H.M “Howling Mad” Murdock, a gifted pilot – and certified loon. Jessica Biel (The Illusionist) stars as Capt. Charisa Sosa, a former love interest of Face’s, but who’s now relentlessly pursuing the Team for a crime not of their doing. Patrick Wilson (Watchmen) is Lynch, a mysterious CIA operative who is a key player in the Team’s most explosive mission.
